    I met him in cincinnati with my brother. I was new to his music and enjoyed but I think it is funny you say this abou him because I thought he was very arrogant and was more concerned about his hair than anything.

    Yeah, I saw him give a clinic back in the early 90's and he spent most of the time during the clinic trashing other well known guitar players. Then met him after a show a year or so later and he was incredibly unfriendly. Great playing but not exactly groundbreaking... at least not enough to warrant such attitude.

    Having met Al Di Meola back stage at the Cape Cod Collesium while I was working for Santana, I can say w/ certainty that while Al had great chops, he was by far the rudest guy on the tour. Never liked him....whatever...now thats done...i feel better.
