This is AWESOME! Terry Kath to me is one of the greatest guitarist ever! He has been in my top 10 rock guitarist of all time. After hearing this he is in my Top Five. This concert gives me the stuff to convert the non believers to his proper status. Man when I listen to him play I could only imagine if he and Peter Green (Fleetwood Mac) would have jammed together in 1969. Man! the stuff they would have brought out from one another. The thought of that alone makes me shiver!

Mercy. mercy..."Intrduction" just killing - great chops flying, esp. Danny Seraphine. Would've loved to seen/heard him in a double-drumming situation w/Bobby Colomby. A real embarrassment of riches. Thanks for posting this show.

I remember CTA at Fillmore West. So accessible...the guys cruised around the crowd between sets. The music was intense, powerful and big...with three voices coming at you from all over the universe. Lamm with the deep, sincerity....Cetera soaring but nowhere near the crooner he became...and TK just flat-out burning with raw guitar and ragged vocals that always seemed to nail the song. The horns...and lightening quick Danny Seraphine on drums. Wowza.

I wish I could have been at this concert. Simply raw awesome stuff. The playing is top notch and tight. Terrys guitar sounds big and huge. Great toneage!

I have listened to a lot of concerts on here and this one is the very best so far. I hope I can find a better one but I doubt it this is awesome.

In May of 1969, in Charleston, WV, I was 14. I went with two friends to The Jimi Hendrix Experience at the Charleston Civic Center. CTA opened for Hendrix and blew me totally away. I was an instant fan. they were amazing. I bought the album and spent the rest of that summer learning the bass lines and playing along with that first record. Whew!

I don't know what else to say that hasn't been said. CTA was my first record. Probably still my favorite. The band is absolutly on fire here in this show. Terry Kath was the guy. His playing and singing were off the charts. Always played with passion. But the whole band was great. There is some bootleg video floating around from the 70's if you can get hold of it. Wish they would officially release some of it. They should be in the rock n roll hall of fame.
