Concert Summary

Certainly one of the most popular bands of the late '60s, and by far the most commercially successful of all the Bay Area bands, Creedence Clearwater Revival knew how to rock. Captured here toward the end of their career, after they'd become a trio (Tom Fogerty had departed the previous year), the band performs an outstanding set that is undoubtedly one of the highlights of the Fillmore's closing week.

With the exception of two obscurities - "It Came Out Of The Sky" and "Door To Door" - this set is…entire summary

    Anyone know Emeryville? That was the strip between Berkely and Oakland with Fuller Paints big cover the world neon and mud flats with custom made driftwood art on the SF bay.I believe CCR was the first "garage band" and opened the garage to let out this sound. If this sounds to spacy, man it was. But these guys did a thing, Country Joe was doing a "thing" too. But these guys just found this ultra funky sound and chewed it up. Where did this come from?? Ya know they said cosmos factory. OK we can leave it at that.

    Well I am old enought to remember these bands from the 60s but I was too young to see them live. I wish! I remember wanting to see Sly in 1970 but my parents refused to let me go because there would be drugs there. Well, they were probably right about that, but a couple of years later they let me see Black Sabbath (I was 15) and there were TONS of drugs at that show. Ah, parents...
