I've probably seen Foghat more live than any other band I've seen, both as headliners and openers......they always put on a good show and rocked the house down.... Rock On Lonesome Dave, Rod, Nick and Roger! Keep on with the SLOW RIDE!

WOW!I WAS AT THIS SHOW....It was my first concert. I'll never forget the black gentleman in front of us. I was pissed that his large afro was going to obstrust my view, until he started to pull hand rolled "cigerettes" out of that hair. We partied all night and I got grounded for coming home at 4:00am! I still have the ticket stub! Thanks Wolfgang!

Does anyone hear "Honey Hush" when they listen to Aerosmith's "Train Kept a-rollin"?

The first concert I went to was in February 1974 at Nassau Coliseum. Bachman Turner Overdrive was the headliner with Foghat and Trooper the opening acts. BTO was one of the biggest acts around at that time and they played a great set but Foghat was excellent. I saw Foghat in the late 90's @ Westbury Music Fair. I think it was the original lineup, definately Lonesome Dave & Rod Price. They were the 2nd band to go on, Pat Travers was first, Blue Oyster Cult and John Kay/Steppenwolf closed the show. Once again Foghat dominated the night. One of the best, hardest working bands to come out of the 70's and under appreciated in my humble opinion.

Lonesome Dave lived in the Orlando area when I first came down to Florida to live. I saw them in an old movie theater turned into a nightclub. Lonesome was on. No sign of illness. Believe it or not the date Dec of 1976 was when I first saw them THEY HEADLINED a show that had Crack the Sky, a red hot and rising fast on the charts Boston, and then Foghat. Many people came for one band or the other but the LP Fool for the City with Slow Ride ruled the FM airwaves back then. So, no reason to argue with that. What a show. RIP Lonesome Dave it certainly was a huge privilege to have seen them then and then later in life.

Ah, man. I remember many nights on road trips, my wife and me and our buddy, Greg driving his dependable Chevy Nova, Ole Tonto, sticking window pane in our eyes, drinking beer and smoking ounces of Mexican pot to keep us sane and driving listening to Savoy Brown and especially Fog Hat, when the sun came up we didn't know where we were. Tennesse, Kentucky, North Carolina. It didn't matter. We bought more beer, played the tapes over again and melted more acid on our irises. lol. Finally we returned to Ohio in time to get back to school on Monday morning.
