Concert Summary

By the time this King Biscuit Flower Hour recording was made in 1978, the classic five piece Genesis lineup of Peter Gabriel, Steve Hackett, Phil Collins, Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford had dwindled to only Collins, Banks and Rutherford. Hence, the title of the album released for this tour: And Then There Were Three.

Bands like Genesis who for me speak "Quality" in all they do. That is why their music roday STILL touches my heart as it did when the album first came out. One of my favorite albums "Then there we're Three". I just like the feel of this album and "Wind & Wuthering". Saw them during the "Duke" tour...awesome light show and In the cage medley...WOW!!!! Indeed the first real progressive Rock band. In the beginning -GENESIS !

until they return again, Noone and I mean Noone sounds better than THE WAITING ROOM. Saw Genesis most recently in 20007 four nights in Philadelphia. I saw the Musical Box, and six other tribute bands. THE WAITING room takes you back in time. You are transported to the seventies again like it or not! The drums will punch you in your heart and the perfect keyboards will simply force a smile on your face. Goosebumps will cover you as Josh the singer presents you with IN THE CAGE flawlessly. Thoroughly awesome TRIBUTE to the best band ever, in my lifetime. Storeman speaks rarely. See this band before it is too late!

Saw this show in Chicago's Uptown Theater, fall 1978 I think... All I really remember is how Mike Rutherford REALLY stepped up and worked to fill the obvious gap left when they moved Steve out. He was so intense and I felt his beating of that Shergold really made the show...despite no STEVE HACKETT
