Concert Summary

To say that sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson were a little anxious to return with their band Heart to their adopted city of Seattle, Washington, at the conclusion of the Dog and Butterfly Tour is a bit of an understatement, to say the least. Heart, which had always been spearheaded by the two sisters since they began writing and recording original material, began as oddity in the music industry. Prior to 1975, it had been primarily a man's world in the music industry, and the band not only featured two women as its leaders…entire summary

Unbelievable concert. No explanation necessary as to why they are in the Hall of Fame. The mid to late 70's was an explosive time in music with the likes of Van Halen, AC/DC, Aerosmith. Heart is right there with the boys... To have seen this show back in the day...at home...unreal.

I have had the pleasure of seeing Heart each tour staring from 1977. This Dog and Butterfly tour was a high peak for the band.I had second row center at the Forum. A day later, I also saw the band at an intimate gig at the Whiskey in Hollywood. What a night that was! These shows were a peak in my personal life as well. Thanks for making these concerts available. MusicThx1

Winter of 79' Rochester NY War Memorial (The Barn) Thousands showed up without a ticket and stormed the doors. The venue held around 12,000. General admission back then with an open floor.(no chairs)They estimated over 14,000 were in the building that night for a blazing show and I remember it like it was yesterday. Ann was dressed in a all black skin tight outfit and was sexy as hell. One of the best Female singers of all time in my opinion.

Had the pleasure of going out with a girl that lived 3 houses away from Ann's house in '78 and '79 in Bellevue. (East of Seattle, across a lake.) She walked me right up to the house, knocked on door, Ann answered !... looked like she had just gotten out of shower. Too funny. Very gracious... visited many times. Roger was fun... wish things would've worked out with him. Just saw Heart again (for the umpteenth time) last Sep. here near Tacoma (south of Seattle). Ann is STILL the greatest female singer ever and in my Top Ten of ALL singers ! Love "my girls" !!! :-)

Buffalo NY, War Memorial Aud 1979, 4th row in front of the flame cannons. The Bass made you breath and when the flame cannons fired it was Hot! Fell in love with Nancy who played a firey guitar and looked so beautiful. The band was hot and I never wanted the concert to end and they kicked ass when doing some Zeppelin songs, Battle of Evermore especially!

Heart at their creative peak for sure. This lineup was magic...... Too bad they can't put all the differences aside and regroup for the fans. We could use an album like Dog and Butterfly in todays joke of a music industry.
