Concert Summary

After an initial blitz on America in the early months of 1969, when Led Zeppelin primarily opened for other acts, they return in April for their second assault. In Led Zeppelin history, no run of shows is more legendary that these four nights in San Francisco.

This is the first set of the last night of that run. After the brief comment "This is the last night" from Robertentire summary

Has anyone listened to this Led Zeppelin concert straight after listening to the Jeff Beck Group concert? Jimmy Page definitely was listening to Beck prior to this concert.

FUDGE... not O. Redding --- O. Rush. $20/hour paid for proof-reading, and zero perks for beating me senseless when I hit "submit" before checking my friggin' shift-wit facts... dammit Jimmy, play tremolo OFF E ! Thou shalt never wilt if thou be buried in hot-wet bows of violin ;~)

BONZO ! fUZZ-Face Jimmy, doll for the pretty babies... Robert, give the harp you stole from Sonny Boy back, spittle & ALL ! 2nd track, ahh, zee Les Paul a-la Gibson orgasmatron... Robert in fine MC form (as always... don't listen to Pete T's BS about "the bulge" distracting from the music), "I can't quit..." Otis Redding still has the edge, JAZZIER, Jimmy... simply laid the blueprint for every single F***ing axe-man, post Jimmy (axe Joe Perry). 'Nuff said... one last, strip every piece of clothing off of your body after the close of "I can't quit you..", invite MANY beautiful babies to your nest & remind them they are in the presence of GREATNESS.

"Also, Zep's manager was a complete prick and should have been jailed" I wonder where u would be, if you said that to his face. LOL People need to get off the Monkey Train also.

IMHO, Zep DID perfect what the others were doing all along. They culminated everything. The same cannot be said of any other band mentioned. Horrible live band ?!? 4/24/69, As Long As I Have You, bass problems right in the middle and they still improvised on ending up with something arguably better. At least a testament to their mastery. Go play with your casio you putz.

This is for Abdelrazak who posted back in March. Cassettes? I have all of Zep's original vinyl in mint condition. I saw them back in the late 70s and they were amazing.
