Dare I say you can blend with the essence of Mahivishnu Orchestra with this concert; don't miss tracks 1, 2, 7 & 8.

What a treat to hear Mahavishnu Orchestra once again! It really took me back--in a good way! Around 1998, I saw John McLaughlin at a small venue in San Francisco and I was seated next to Narada Michael Walden. Every once in awhile, he would turn to me and say stuff like, "This cat is far-out, man!" He was, and is.

Saw them at the Orpheum in Boston, circa 73', for Inner Mounting Flame. I Don't recall as much free form jamming as I'm hearing here. Was floored by the tightness and intensity, though. I'm a drummer and expected the band to focus on each other for "hints", but Noooooo. Non stop wow. Dragged my unaquainted older bro who sat away from us. Between a bee that was haunting his area, and the performance from the boys, his interest was piqued. Also noticed funny smelling smoke, as in other posts. Couldn't for the life of me tell you what it was...Peace to all

I was there and remember this to be an outstanding show. At least that part of it that I can recall. The stage was in the fieldhouse and the place was packed - lots of good energy and funny smelling smoke.

Standard Mahavishnu. They sound quite addicted to the intensity.
