    I completely disagree with the reviewers assessment that Conners was more compelling than DiMeola . Al is and was the best. I'd bet even Bill would agree. Sometimes flawless technicality can be mistaken for cold non-emotionality. In this case I just look at it as the essence of the music taken to another level.

    This tour was well attended and blew a lot of minds with it's astounding musicianship. It was also the last major tour with Bill Connors, before Al di Meola took over the guitar chair. A true gem among fusion performances. Maybe the Vault can get Weather Report's approval for some of their performances as a tribute to Joe Zawinul, rest his soul. Thanks for the trip back in time.
