Concert Summary

Started as a heavy rock ’n’ roll band by bassist Phil Lynott, Thin Lizzy was among the first Irish rock ‘n’ roll bands to really have a presence outside of the U.K. They had a number of European breakthrough hits, and one massive global album (Jailbreak) which cemented their success in the U.S., but they never made the crossover to "legendary" status as their contemporaries Deep Purple and …entire summary

Had the privilege to see them at something called the Open Air Fest in Germany in the Spring of 75 with Alice Cooper,UFO and a few others. I got hooked on Lizzy that day and am forever grateful to have seen them live. When my brother and I got home from the Army, "Boys" was the song we were greeted with...God Bless Them and all who loved and still love this Band.

Great gig. Sorry to be picky but track 4 is 'Johnny' and not to be confused with the equally great 'Johnny the Fox'

I was lucky enough to see Thin Lizzy open for Queen in STL. MO 1975 at the age of 8! From that day forward, I've never wanted to do anything other than ROCK! I owe my drumming chops to the likes of Downey, Taylor and Bonham. I'm so thankful that I was able to live in an era when rock was king and have a hard working Mom that enabled me to have the same Rogers kit Downey played.

Wow. They just don't make 'em like that anymore.

Ditto to all, Phil was the best. Thin Lizzy ws the first to show some innovation in regards to duel guitar harmony. Long live the time it brings me back to....

thin lizzy was one of the best rock bands to come out of the 70's.they pretty much invented the twin guitar attack.

Lizzy's "live and dangerous" ouble live is probably the best thing they ever did. It's got a great set list, great sound and realy puts them high on the all time live record list. I'm from Dublin and saw them many times during my youth!!!

Excellent show. Quite simply one of the greatest rock bands ever. Shame it ended the way it did. They deserved better. If you are a casual listening reading this, get Lizzy's "Black Rose" CD. Just amazing songs and the return of Gary Moore make for a great listen. Timeless.
