Concert Summary

UFO had come a long way from its roots as a bar band in Wales, UK when they recorded this show for the King Biscuit Flower Hour in the spring of 1982. The band was promoting their Chrysalis LP, The Mechanix, which had found a home on many FM radio station playlists. Opening with the typical rocker "We Belong To The Night," singer Phil Mogg quickly leads the band into a weighty version of "Let It Rain,” from The Mechanix.     Just saw them last month in Santa Cruz, CA. Phil Mogg still has it after all these years. SO GREAT to still see them in action after all these years. This set is a classic. One of the most overlooked rock bands of all time.

    This is a classic rock concert. UFO is probably one of the most overlooked great, straightfoward rock bands with lasting prowness. This concert is tight throughout and the playlist has a fairly good blend of their history to date.

    Chapman UFO was seriously undervalued. Great show if you ever saw them. Never got the respect of radio even to this day in the USA. Sad since there are many great tunes that still hold up.
