Concert Summary

Zebra came out of New Orleans in the late 1970s, destined to be the next big power trio in rock. Knowing they needed a major east coast market to break out of, the band traveled on a regular basis to New York City and Long Island, where they quickly built a loyal following in a number of rock clubs. When they first arrived in New York, it was clear to Zebra that their competition would be fierce. In Long Island, bands like Twisted Sister and The Good Rats were dominating the rock clubs and had a number of labels eager…entire summary

I'm wondering why some of these concerts such as this are chopped up. Do they have the complete concert available or only the edited concert that aired on the radio?

I also bought the Zebra album after hearing it for the first time on the radio in the 80's. Being an old school punker that was a rare thing! I have to this day five cooked copies of the LP and three scratched up CD's. This is a welcome show. I have already pissed off the neighbors with it at least three times! Randy, I hope you are reading this! Fritzhund

I still remember hearing Zebra for the first time on radio, it was the hit song Who's Behind the Door. After hearing the song, I immediately went out and bought thecd. Well, it was the only cd I ever returned, as there was only the one song worth listening to. But yet and still, I do love the opportunity to hear this band live here. I am listening to this concert for the first time, and am just on the first song as I type, but you see, it doesnt matter. It is great sound quality, and wether I like anything other than the first song really makes no difference. The FACT is, I have the chance to listen and judge for myself wether I like it or not. Kinda reminds me of a band in the same era called Steel Breeze. They were a one hit wonder, who I saw open for Kansas. I loved their big hot, You Dont Want Me Anymore, but that was all they had. They were great in concert, but their album sucked. Some bands are better live, some are not, but just to have the opportunity to hear what these bands can produce live, good or not, hey, I love it. Keep up the good work Wolfgang's Vault.
